Step 4. Finishing the pen

The finishing process involves various degrees of sanding and polishing of the wood. Each pen blank is sanded in steps from 150 grit to 600 grit paper. The final sanding is performed with a lubricant to insure the finest quality finish. With the pen blank still on the lathe, hand applied, wear resistant finish is applied to the pen in multiple layers.

When the finishing process is complete, Executive Accessories assembles your pen, packages it for shipping, and sends it on its way to its new home.
