Chris Melhorn's Second PipeBack to the top.The following pipe was made by Chris Melhorn. This pipe was carved from a kit that was pre-drilled for the tenon, airhole, and tobacco chamber. Black alcohol based stain was used after the rustication process. The briar used on this pipe has many flaws as noted on the left side picture, and unfortunately, is not suitable for its intended purpose. The pipe was buffed and waxed. This is Chris's second attempt at a pipe and his first attempt at rustication.
